Ok i just installed a CAI from K&N. It worked out pretty good. But i noticed that the plastic housing from the original air box thats sort of under the head light has some kind of sensor thing in it. What am i supossed to do with that? Just leave it there?

Does anybody know what the sensor is? It's in the old airbox that kinda sits underneath the left headlight.

Under the left headlight? I don't remember seeing a sensor there. It's in the intake before the air reaches the filter, right? The only one I can think of is the IAT sensor, but that's usually after the filter.

if you are talking about the little plug in wire that has the purple rubber grommet, that is the A.I.R. Pump wires, if you have an auto, you don't have an air pump, it's just extra wires. Now if you have a firebird, the sensor you may be talking about (black skinny flat box) is a relay for the headlights. And if this is the case, secure it to the frame of the car so it doesn't fly around when you drive.
