I just plugged in my 02 simulator in the RS and I cranked it up and the ses light was still there. Drove it around for a little while and it didn't go away. And what are you suppose to do with the chord coming from the exhaust pipe....do I take that off? Not sure why its not working, the simulator is on the part after where the cat use to be.

yea i hear you. when i got my exhaust done they put the simulators in and the light was still there. so i told their *** to clear the damn code ya know? so they did and the light was off for maybe a week or so then one day came right back on....ive just learned to deal with the fact that my 100 dollars was a waste. the mechanic told me its nothing to worry about, it was just a small like evaporation code or somethin that was thrownSLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.

But dont most of you get your SES light taken off with it? Sounded like most of you had good luck. my advice would be not to get it, if u waste the $100 to get the light off, big deal its not gonna hurt ur car a substantial amount if the light is on, i heard that if the light is on for a few years then ur car starts acting screwy. but i wouldnt bother because they didnt work with mine.SLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.

Well I took my car to Autozone and they reset the code. Actually it does hurt your car with that code because it screws with your air/fuel ratio. Thats what I was told anyway. No it should not affect your A/F ratio... that is affected by the readings from the O2's in each manifold. The pre and post cat O2's are there to make sure the cat is doing it's job.Matt<br />2000 Firebird<br /><br /><a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums/index.php?\" target=\"_blank\">FullThrottleV6.com</a>

$100 bucks!!!! Dayum, yall got ripped. I got mine from zzperformance for $46 shipped to my door. I plugged it in disconnected the battery for like 30 minutes, hooked it back up, cranked it up and POOF! the cursed SES light was gone :D . Yall should try this I guess, if not it's no real biggy. My car runs better though with the SES light off. Good luck yall.

Ok.. at this point i gota give my obigatory.. if you have a 2000 car or newer you may (and probably will) set off an ses light with the SIM!!
you will likly get a high voltage error.. i only know of 2 people who have a 2000 or newer car that did not gotten the error.. and probably around 9 that got the high voltage error..

no, you are nuts if you think by takeing a fuse out or disconnecting the neg terminal, "clears" the code. if you dont have it put on a scanner the code will always be stored, i guess kinda like on the back burner in a way. the only way to clear a code is with autotap or the dealer or some sort of scanning tool.Longtubes, true duals, ram air, caspers tps tec, ls1 26lb injectors, supersix powerpack, heads milled .020, comp cam .507 220/224 114 ls, forged internals and chromeoly pushrods, bored .030 over, tb spacer, tranny built with stiffer springs and kevlar bands, bigger servo, transgo stage 3 shift kit, edge 3600 stall, 1 pc aluminum ds, 3.73 superior gears, lsd rear ,custom pcm tuning, walbro 255 in tank,
