  • Need to know Best Price on SLP Lid

I know that the SLP lid is a common reoccurance on these threads, but all I'd like to know is what would be a good price for one. I found a huge site call fbodymotorsports.com that is selling them for $100 plus ground ship. Is there a better price than that. Oh yeah, my car is a 98 so I know there is a difference in that. If anyone could let me know, that would be great.

shave off the fins on the inside of the lid. sand it smooth. wash it several times in hot soapy water.

Also dont forget to get rid of your air silencer after the lid and replace it with a 3" PVC cupling.

we hare having a v6 meet in Orlando in like 2 weeks check out the FL section at the bottom of the main page...

I'd look for one sued, though $100+shipping doesn't seem to bad for new.

So can I do that? Do i have an air silencer? What about the PVC thing? I do have a 98, so I have no idea why I cannot do that. Thanks for the info though. Let me know ASAP.

You can't do it because 98s have a throttle body that angles downward. 99-02s have straight throttle bodies. Because of the downward angle, you can't put a PVC pipe or elbow in there. I've tried it on mine.
