• Questions about installing a whisper lid

I was looking over the instructions to install my whisperlid and am a little confused.

First question: Do I use the hose/rubber-thing that is currently between the TB and the air silencer to connect the lid to the TB? I know some people talk about dryer hose type stuff, but I don't see anything like that in this box.

Second question: I have to take my car into the dealer to get a window switch fixed (it's under warenty, so it's free and I'm too lazy to do it myself). Is the dealer gonna give me any **** about having this lid and (if they see it) my ram air kit?

Rob, I'm not to familiar with the V6 lids. According to the picture on lm performance it looks like the Whisper lid comes with a hose.
As far as the dealership goes I wouldn't worry. I would be more worried about some guy driving it who is not familiar with the SSRA. I just had my car at the dealership yesterday. I left everything on. I was standing outside watching the guy work on my car and noticed the lot boy bringing cars around to the front that had just been worked on. He would take that driveway to fast go through puddles and such. If I were you I would remove the scoop before bringing it in. JMO

The scoop will not suck in water at low speeds like that. You'd have to plow through a 12" water crossing (not puddle) at near 40 MPH.

The dealer cannot give you any trouble over a ram air system, its covered by the Magnuson warranty act.

I have never heard of this act. What is it? I tried looking it up on Google, but I don't understand all that legal jargon I found.

Sweet, just wanted to make sure before I pulled the stock off and had no way to connect the whisper or stock back on

I meant the lot boy might take the driveway to fast and hit the SSRA.
