my exhaust sounds like crap - help!!!

I had the Dynomax Superturbo on for a year and it sounded fine. Then I got a Catco and it was ok for a while but now it just sounds horrible - like someone shoved a plastic bag into my muffler. Could it be a baffle in the muffler?

The car sounds fine down low - it's only up top when I let off the throtle that it makes this "flappy" sound. To add to the problem I got rattles coming out of the wazoo (esp. when hot). Probably heat shields - but what should I do about the muffler?

Oh and for those of you with high flow cats - does your exhaust smell a lot more potent now. Mine does and I'm afraid I don't stand a chance come emissions time.

Your are exactly like I was a little bit ago. I had a dynomax for a while and thought it was pretty good for a while, then my old cat got messed up so I threw a catco on there. A first it wounded a little deeper then it had this cheap feel to it I hated. What did I do about it? I ditched the whole setup.

Maybe thats what happens with a cheaper cat?

The local exhaust guys told my dad what worked for my car... catco wasn't on the list lol.
