ok i was thinking for once while sitting at work not working but looking at the message board. ok heres the plan you know how our cars like little to no backpreasure high up in the RPM range...ok here we go........3 inch cutout before the cat with an electronic cover.......into high flow 2.5 catback system. Open the cover higher up in the range and you can still have your lowend torque. Anyone? i think im going to try this i ordered the flowmaster 2.5 catback and a 3 inch cutout. Going to have to install the cutout myself...no one will touch it. Anyways a cutout can fit between the y pipe and cat right? 3in right? the exhaust might havve to be moved back alittle to accomadoate the setup. anyone? in theory shouldnt this be good? least if it doesnt work i can make noise around the neighrborhood and rev alot and stuff really really loud.

I dont think it would work because when you open and close the cut-out it changes air/fuel ratios or something. Most people have to drive around for a few minutes after opening/closing their cut-outs for the computer to re-adjust to the new exhaust setup. So I think you'd either hafta do it all open or all closed, otherwise it would hurt your performance since the computer can't compensate in that short of a time span for the change in airflow exiting much quicker.
