A $4 piece of PVC accomplishes exactly what I want until my Volant ram air intake shows up, in which case I will not need a lid *at all*. Keep in mind there are options other than lids (and not everyone wants to drop 160 bucks on a piece of plastic ;) ) Also, if you aren't a slacker (such as I), ideally, you would paint your PVC black, the accent color of your car, or even the body color to make it look "less Ghetto" ;)

WOW the Volant ram air intake looks cool.. how much is it??
haven't installed piece yet waitin for k&n filter to get here. i think it'll make a little difference.. its not like i'm expecting a big HP increase..

They make black pvc pipe. :D That would save you from having to paint the white pipe. ;) Just an idea. ;)

So those volant intakes work on the 3.8's. I thought they only worked on the 5.7?? Do you have to modify them to hook up to the 3.8??
