I did it. When I order the CAI with thunder racing they sent me detail intructions. I don't have experience doing mods and was more or less easy. Do it with the whisper air lid, you will feel a difference in performance and sound coming under the hood.
Camaro99\'3.8, original spoil package (no body mods...PROUDLY), K&N, Lid 3800II, SLP CAI, Flowmaster, Z28Chrome Tips, 180* Thermostat.
There's several online stores where you can get it. I got in at Thunder Racing for 90 and some dollars. But just some minutes ago I saw it for 60 bucks at this same message board. Go under the section where people sell stuff.

You can't do the ram air mod to a 97 like you can w/ the 98 and higher. Simply b/c our intakes are different than theirs. But you can do other things. For instance, You can get a cold air intake, and have it go through the hole where you stock air intake goes, and then cut a hole in the splash guard, then make a scoop and screw it in. I don't have a link, but I've seen it done. Hope that makes sense to ya paarman97maro
i have this cai. i would go for it. you get more cold air with this set up (and the free ram air mod. like they said you have to do it anyway to install this). i would do it again in a second!
Thunderracing has a nice package deal where you can get a v6 Whisper Lid, K&N filter and K&N cleaner for like $149.00 or something. It was a GREAT package deal. I'd pick it up... usually the lid is the first mod everybody does.
