• Carsound High-Flow Cat's here:

I ordered my Carsound Highflow Cat from Jeff Hawkins, his email is thedogg@chartertn.net
The cat is just like the CATCO, 3"in/out, 14" long. He charged me $70 shipped through PayPal, and asked for me to spread the word around for him. I'll let y'all know when it get's here. :D

I'm happy to see a lot of people going with carsound. I've been pushing carsound on here for a while now because everyone is stuck on catco's and I think carsound is a better product for just a little more money. What kind did you get? I got a 94009. Definatley a great cat though and good to see people finally expanding their options.

Yep! I have a carsound cat on my car. Awesome! I had some bad rock damage done to my exhaust and cat, and had them replaced. No SES light for the past year! :D

I have no clue as to what the part number is. I told Jeff about the car/engine I have, and he sent me a PayPal money request. Looking forward to installing it though

Didn't you originally have the Catco sitting around waiting to be installed?

Are you going to put on the high flow cat before or after headers?

Yes, I have the new CATCO in my garage, but listening to the SES stories, I decided to try something different. I have a friend that is interested in the CATCO for his 87 T/A, but if it falls through, I'll post it here to sell it.
I am going to install the Carsound Cat before the headers. I ordered the headers, but wrote to the company and cancelled the order. I really don't want to get into tearing apart the whole exhaust system just to get a few extra hp. I'll reorder them soon, just not yet. I have too much to do this summer already by looking to buy a new house and stuff. The only thing I would like to buy for my car other than the Cat, is the new 275/40/tires for my 17" rims.

so are the carsound cats just as hi-flow as the catco's, being will there still be the same gain in sound, power, but still being able to pass emissions testings beacause i'm gonna buy one of the two, they are the same price (roughly) on ebay, so i would like to know which one i should get and why

thanks

From what I understand, the catco's have a tendency to throw ses lights more commonly than the carsound cats. I still have my stock cat installed though, so I can't make a direct statement on which is better.

but i have a 3.4L, with no O2 after the cat, making the SES light problem irrelivant for me...
