Ok, I have a '96 3.8. I have already installed SLP CAI and now i am up to exhaust. I know this question has probably been asked a million times before but i need some advice as to brands, types, etc. I am looking for something to offer outstanding performance, yet not be too loud at idle or cruising (i have complaining neighbors). I'm not looking to break the bank either, and i figure i'll spend about $500. Any suggestions are appreciated.

3" Cat $50+ (catco's #6007 is about $50, they go up in price from there)
    3" Dynomax I-pipe, ~$100 from summit
3" Dynomax Muffler, ~$100? from summit
Tips of choice, another c-bill depending.
Installation... my favorite guy charges $35/hour and I think this ought to take 3 hours for someone with experience (don't quote me on that).

Or... z28/ss catback - these can be found for anywhere from free to $150-ish.

Whatever you do, I highly recommend a 3" cat and bigger I-pipe. Also, if any of my info is out of date, hopefully someone will set me straight.

Flowmaster. If you dont have emissions, go with my setup. Myself and 2002firebirdguy are the only ones with this setup so far. It sounds awesome.
