  • Pacesetter headers?

Pacesetter headers are all i could find for my 97 3.8 v6. Are they good headers. Also i found the regular black coated ones for around $230, but i heard its better to go ceramic, but the ceramic ones are $380. Can you really tell the difference between the normal black coated ones and the ceramic...like performance wise? Right now all i have on my car performance wise are flowmaster 80 series and K&N cold air intake, probably getting high flow cat soon. Are headers worth the money? I heard they will make my exhaust sound deeper and throaty which i want.

performance wise, i dont really have an answer until your none coated ones rust ;)

its definatly worth all away around to get the coated and to get them at all for that matter. they will make it sound better and perform better

It's not a performance difference, really. The paint will burn off of the non-coated headers really quickly and the'll start to corrode on you. You might save a few bucks now, but in a few years you'll have to buy another set.

From what I heard, the ceramic coted ones don't corrode at all.

I'll make this decision really easy for you. Heres a pic of uncoated pacesetter headers on a car after a couple weeks or so.

I didnt get my headers ceramic coated from pacesetter, I got them coated at this shop near me for $100. So I dont know how the pacesetter coated ones look like after a year anyone have a pic of theirs?
