What holes do I plug up for the TB Bypass!?!?

Just a quick question, i have a '97 3.8. I've made my gasket and blocked off the bottom three holes on the tb. However on the top right of the tb there's a bigger hole. I'm not sure what that is, but does it need to be blocked too? or should i cut a hole in my gasket to let it flow?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you just trying to stock coolant from entering the TB coolant chamber or are you blocking the PCV hole in the TB for running forced induction?

If you are doing a coolant bypass you can fill the cavity in the TB with a big gob of RTV Blue. Let it cure for atleast 24Hrs because it will be a big thick gob. This will fill up the cavity and not allow coolant in.

I'm doing a turbo install and that's what this is for. So should i fill in that upper right larger hole? or cut a hole in my gasket and let it flow?

Also, if i do need to block it, is the gasket good enough? or do need to feel it in?

nobody is answering because this has been covered so many times that they want you to do a search. It also starts flame wars because there are two similar but different methods (that both work) for blocking and rerouting the PCV.

I did not use custom gasket. Most don't. You dont need to use custom gasket. Some of those holes are for the mounting studs. Hard to know exactly what you are asking about. The project is very easy and straight forward. I used a 3/8" threaded plug, a thread tap, gasket, a little blue
rtv and stuck a threaded breather on the oil filler neck and was done. check out my guide...
