Cat intake size

I had the local muffler ship bend a piece of 3" piping to substitute the S-pipe that my kit was missing, and while they were taking a look at the stock cat, he said it looks like it was a 2.75" pipe going to the catalytic convertor.

I'm going to install the catalytic convertor myself to save 50 bucks since it'll only take a couple hours, but my question is: am I going to need a flange to go from 2.75" to my 3" cat, or is the pipe going to the catalytic converter 3" already?

I'm pretty sure the Y pipe is 3 inches into the cat. I don't think you will need anything.

Yeah, i thought it was 3" as well. I got a spare Y pipe lying around so i'll go check it later today when i get home.

it is definately 3 in. been there done that. exhaust shop ppl are dumbasses.
