No overheating problems here. I had the full FTRAIK that comes with the lower ram air scoop section. (real low to ground) and did not have overheating nor
water problems. I took off the lower section when I installed the powerdyne because I was concerned about having a 6PSI vacuum that close to the ground and seattle puddles and rain.
Suggest saving a little money and just getting the one piece kit...without the lower ram air section...if you are planning on getting a blower. You can easily integrate the powerdyne to the stock air box with about 2ft of high pressure powerdyne flex hose. It works great. It allows for colder outside air to be used by the blower rather than hotter engine compartment air from the stock RKSport con filter. Here are some pics of the set up. http://home.comcast.net/~grayman99/P...-Pics_temp.htm
when it is time (if you go this way) you can get 3" flex hose from pwerdyn.com Go there and get the phone number and call to order. I used two feet.$17 per foot) It is pretty stong stuff. I used the rubber 90 degree intake elbow than comes with the RKSport kit to mount to blower...then a 4" long section of 3" exhaust pipe...you can use 3" PVC pipe...to make the connection between the flex hose and the rubber elbow. I then used my custom smooth air PVC bellows rig to go from the 3.5" ID air lid boot to the 3" flex hose. Add some clamps and you are good to go. (I used the thick rubber rksport elbow to mount to the blower because I am concerned about the radiator fan shroud tearing up the flex hose...as the engine rocks back and forth.)
(regarding those pics...I addapted a 95-98 kit to my straight TB so that is why the discharge tubing is kinda ugly and piecmeal looking. It works great though. I just did not want to cut up the stock piping...in case of resale I now have a kit that covers 95-2002.)
