Dude today I was supposed to get my ravin welded on to a 3in exhaust system and a carsound cat. I was kinda prepping it last night and I noticed rust coming out from the tail pipes (muffler and tails are already welded from before) I peered inside and it's all rusting inside, it can't be more then 5months old worth of driving on it. It looks like it's made out of steel the way it's rusting. It looks kinda cheep. Im now going with a flowmaster catback. I just had a post not to long ago about is it common for mufflers to rust, cuz my dynomax is doing the same thing. No one replyed though. I'd be worried about rust sitting in the muffler and start rattling around though.

Rust happens, I would not be concerned with it unless it rusts through.

I was going to be happy enough with it to put it on my car. Just the muffler it's self ahhhh. But with a highflow cat and a 3in system I think it will sound decent. It's a little bit quieter then the flowmaster but sounds similar because they are both chambered mufflers. I just don't think it's as free flowing as the flowmaster. It's not to bad for sound though. It's not the best sounding but not the worst either.

I am mostly happy with mine, a tad ricey on the top end, but almost everything is. Mine is just a rear section, I would like to hear what is would sound like opened up on a full 3" hi-flow cat system.

I'm pleased with my Ravin just fine. Remember, rust never sleeps.
