i just cleaned it for the second time. but now it has been abused with a FTRA. the first time i cleaned it, the filter turned turned white like it said it was supposed to. now, there is a section from the FTRA that stays black. is that normal or should i try cleaning it again. any suggestions?

When I was running the free ram air mod, I had a black stripe on mine all the time. The rest of the filter looked good, and it still flowed ok.
You can keep an eye on it, and if it starts getting really gunked up, clean it again. But yeah, it's normal for it to get black like that right where the main air flow hits it.

no, olivia drives an F150 that she will not let me mod - not even an exhaust. at my work computer i am nino and now at home i am olivia. oh well. no misintentions meant. though even though she hates my car, my mods, and sometimes me, she knows quite a bit about cars.
