• Best Place for cutout

I just purchased the 3in U-Bend for my S-pipe and a 3in cutout from jegs. I was thinking of putting the cutout after the cat. Where's the best place to put it?

On my WS6, I placed it just forward of the rear seat area, in front of the rear tire. That way I have plenty of room to get my arm under there to undo and redo the cover when I want to.

Alright, I think you're trying to say behind the s-pipe which is what I'm planning on doing. How much louder will this make the exhaust...I've never heard a cutout on a car

With only minute sound supression being after the cat it will be louder than any full exhaust you can bolt on. If its done right, as in my car, it sounds exactly like running open headers, because thats exactly what I'm doing.

I don't have the S-pipe on my car , but if I remember where it was on my Camaro, yes, just after that. It'll make the exhaust nice and loud, although if you're still running the cat and factory manifolds, it might not be too loud. For example before I got my headers, I could run my cutout open on the street and get away with it (the resonance in the car was a little loud though) simply b/c the cats acted like mufflers. Now with the offroad pipes on, no way could I do that since it's at least that loud with it capped.
