I know everyone asks all the time about which exhaust sound best and so on. But I have a different question: Which exhaust system still has nice performance gains but isn't real loud or have big ol' honkin exhaust tips? I'm not looking to attract a whole lot of attention. I want to see if it's possible to keep a stock appearence.
I heard that the stock SS exhaust works nicely and isn't too expensive either is that true??

    Thanks
    Jason

How about an electric cutout? Stock exhaust, so it is nice and quiet when you are cruising. Then completly free flowing when you need it.

Stock SS or SLP Dual/Dual are quiet systems that flow really well. They're not too expensive either if you pick them up from one of the V8 boards.

How about the Flowmaster Delta Flow mufflers? From what I understand, they flow better and aren't nearly as loud.

Delta Flow are pretty loud. You'll get a better flow with something like an SLP dual/dual or Hooker or such.

I like my SLP dual/dual, check out my site for some sound clips.

Mine is louder since I upgraded the cat but before that, the exhaust sounded just like stock.

well, i would suggest a force II system from flowmaster. it would probably flow nice and it says that its like quiet under cruising speeds...just gets real loud when you try and "open it up" i.e. layin metal on the pedal.
and if you dont like the tips that come wit it...just find an old z28 or use your stock tailpipes.
                    just a suggestion ;)
