  • throttle body vacuum hose

Twice now in the last two weeks I have had the vacuum hose (looks like a spark plug boot) blow off of the throttle body. It happens right as I start the car. Questions I have are first WHY? and second how do I prevent this. What if I just use a small clamp to hold it on (or is this a bad idea)? Thanks guys.

great, thanks! Just wanted to be sure it wasn't a sign of a bigger problem. My guess was its just cuz the hose is old and not so snug a fit anymore. however, if anyone else knows other wise please let me know. thanks again.
