• Am I the only one disappointed with this catback?

Now that I've had some time to drive my car around and really listen to the exhaust, and have heard it from the outside I must say that I am disappointed.
The sound still has that high pitched note. It doesn't come until 2300 rpms now (where it used to start at 2k) but it still there and annoying.
I know cai and lid will deepen it some (more air coming in, of course) but is it enough to really notice? ANd know I high flow cat will make it louder, but what about deeper (with a 2 1/2: catback)? Louder isn't necessarily better, my neighbor has a louder car than mine but it sounds even worse.

My dad had installed the system (while i was at work) and even he said he couldn't notice much of a difference. It sounds good at idle though, sounds like a nice sounding truck is right behind me, but that sound quickly fades. I heard my brother take off in it the other day and i thought, "wait, I thought he was going to take my car, not his honda bike..." Then I realized he WAS driving my car .

Sorry about this rambling post, I'm just :( .

i am seriously considering buying a b&b. what is this high pitches sound that you are talking about? i have not heard of this, but would like to know before i get it. when i buy the exhaust i will be putting on an intake at the same time along with k&n and i already have a whisper lid. will i still get the sound? does it go away over time?

I have the B&B exhaust(I used to think it was SLP), and I really like the way it sounds. The CAI makes it sound louder on mine. It is probably one of the best exhaust for the v6.
