Alright, I had a poll in the lounge of exhausts and their reviews.. now I want some clips. My goal... to make a page with all the exhausts for V6 so people can go there, listen to the clips and then decide and this board won't be flooded with "which exhaust should I get" questions.

(Here is the exhaust poll that was in lounge http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...=6&t=004631&p= )

So please.. do any of you guys have sound clips/video of your exhaust? (also can you tell me what exhaust/set up you have)

I have one of my Flowmaster:
    http://eyeoutthere.tripod.com/exhaust.htm

It is hard for some people to believe that a flowmaster can sound better on a 3.4L than a 3.8, but it does.
"But the 3.8l has more displacement, it will always sound deeper then a 3.4l"

Displacement actually doesn’t have that much to do with it. Example, 5.0’s sound much better than 5.7L LT1’s.

Are you kidding when u say that a 5.0 sounds better than an LT1?? Man, im my opinion a 5.7 lt1 sounds way meaner than a 5.0. the 5.0s have more of than hollow sound that alot of GTs also have. I would definetely get more scared of a 5.7 than a 5.0 dude...

        OFF TOPIC:
I agree, I've heard a 97 T/A do a U-turn infront of me then accelerated down the road(not stomping on the gas, just to get up to speed) and man that car was loud, it made my car shake from the loud rumble, it was alot more meaner then a 5.0, 5.0s exhaust sound to me like a ricer V8....IMO.

I think what he was saying was that not that the 5.0s sound better overall, but at the high end (5,000rpm+) they sound better. I've heard countless LT1/LS1s who rev in neutral and they sould like absolute *** when they rev about 4,500rpm or so...ya know, a really high rev.

I think you'll find that most of that has to do with the exhaust setup. Mustangs come with a pretty nice sounding exhaust from the factory. I think that's cause they are true dual setups. So, I agree that displacement isn't the be all and end all in exhaust tone, but conclusion I have drawn is different then yours.

I'm sorry, don't mean be an a$$ but I'd rather we just keep this post to post exhaust sound clips/movies. If you guys want to discuss what sounds better or whatever, could you please make a different post? Thank you.

Please keep posting sound clips.. I really need them. It'll relieve all these posts that say the same thing from Gen Tech.

Man, 5.7L LT1/LS1's sound better throughout the entire tach then a freakin 5.0. Now the 4.6L GT/Cobra's, I'll admit, sound damn nice. But I'm sorry, a 5.7L is better then em all IMHO.

But anyways, here's a fairly bad quality clip of my Flowmaster series 80's on my 3.8L with stock piping/headers and all. (idle and revving)

My flowmaster muffler and high flow cat.

I was told it was a 40 series when i bought it, but now I hear that only the 80 series ones are crossflow, so who knows?

Edit: I forgot to mention that this sound clip is pre-supercharger.

No offense but your exhaust sounds like a blow dryer. The video quality probably doesnt do it justice though
