1) Right before the muffler.
2) 2 1/2"
3) Other than the cut-out, the rest of my exhaust is stock. One of the best sounds on a V6 F-Body I have heard around here ever.

Another Q along with 96 T-Top; did it hurt or help performance for those who have it? I've heard both. I just need more info before I make a decision to get one.
well im almost 100% sure tomorrow im either ordering a cut out or buyin one at the local speed shop and havin it installed by them...i plan on it being right before the rear axle..
Anyone gone in for warranty work with the cutout..id like to get one but would love to avoid the problems with the dealers..

Warrenty work will only be void on ur exhaust. So if for some reason it would rust out, which it wouldnt cause its stainless steel, it would be void.
As for performance. I believe if you do not have a sufficient amount of mods on ur car it will hurt performance.
Keith ran .2 quicker due to the fact of all his modifications and reprogrammings, so the open headers helped his time.
If a car goes up there w/ a cutout, and he/she only has exhaust/intake, cutout isnt going to help much. you'd need something such as bigger gears or a poweradder to help u off the line due to lack of back pressure.
So if your not running nitrous/supercharger/turbo, or you DO NOT have 3.42's or higher, i'd say dont bother unless you just want it for sound. Ut will kill your off the line times, but will help your high RPM range times...ex 4k+ rpm's. This is just an opinion, dont take any of these to be accurate statments, just a hypothesis
I cant prove my theories, but as soon as i order it on monday and i get it, i'll have it installed and let everyone know my honest opinion.

If i had to guess..it would sound like a harly Keith drove past my house w/ open headers and my dad asked what kinda bike passed by the house :D
Well, it sounds very nice at idle, but there are alot of exhaust set-upds out there that do. Mine does sound cleaner than most any Flowmaster V6 car I've heard at high RPM's, and is louder and as clean as Dynomax through all ranged of RPM's. I only have intake and exhaust really, very little else, and I can feel the difference in performance. On the starts, I feel it robbing me a bit, but I hjaven't got 60' times to see how bad yet (that'll be posted this friday), but it does, like several people stated, feel better on top end. I will let you know my improvement on 1/4 times Friday.
