Qtec cutout

Is the cut out really worth the money? Cause i was looking at there site and there dyno numbers and i am not to impressed, based on what they got on the V8 i figure that i would only pick up like 5 horse using it. Am i wrong? Is it worth the money to buy it and then get it installed? Cause i know when it is open it is probably going to sound pretty damn ricey right?

acctualy i have a sutout on my car and it sounds pretty good.. it loud but it sounds better woth the cutout open then though the exhuast.. i would have never guessed it either..

imho get a manual cutout if you are gunne do it.. stick it on right where the two pipes meet in the y-pipe.. its reallly easy to take off there.. and you dont really need any tools.. jsut gloves so you dont burn yourself.. its only 3 wig nuts..

eletric ones are cool.. but htey are a PITA to fit becuase they are alot bigger then then manual ones.. and have a tendency to get ripped off by potholes..

they also break alot.. all the qtec and qtp's i ahe seen have only leasted year before they needed to be serviced or repaired..

so.. get a manual for $30 tops and be happy..

i have a cutout and its does help. your expectations are too high. it sounds real good too, it actually make my car sound like it has balls. give you the vibration and the sound. and the electric cutout is great cause you dont have to get on your back to open it up
