  • !QUESTION!

I am getting my SLP CAI on tommorow, but I just found out that I may need a splash guard too now. They told me water could get up there and it could ruin my engine. Where do I buy one, and how much do they cost? Also, will I lose any hp from using one?

Ahhh you'll be alright. For the little amount of water that will get where the SLP sits I don't think it would even suck through the filter. And if it did that little amount of water wouldn't hurt your engine. If you had flash flooding in your area and you went through puddles 4feet deep then a splash guard still wouldn't do you know good because you'd be f-ed anyway. My old ram air setup when it rained it would get all kinds of water getting down in there and for a while it would always suck up condensation and such. My engine is still running strong 20k later.

go get a plastic flowerpot from home depot (seriously)...cut a hole in the bottom of it, and slide it over the tube so the filter sits inside of it and put the filter back on
