Don't worry, in a couple years you'll be in love with your Flows, as they sound better with age. I admit, I didn't like how mine sounded at first eaither, but they definately grew on me as they began to "mature" lol

So, is there a way to speed the break-in on a new exhaust system? Lots of hard acceleration? Lots of highway driving?

Yup, when I first heard the car started up at the exhaust shop, I liked it. At first I wasn't used to it and it didn't sound quite as good as I expected. After about 2-3 months, it has def. gotten deeper and better sounding. I've had mine for about...I think four months now. It sounds so much better than when I first got it...if it "breaks in" even more, because right now it sounds bad a$$!

Sorry bud, but tips do not and will not ever effect your sound! Except the difference between exiting the body, and turn-down dumps over the axles. (sound reverbs off the street)

Actually it's not the same concept of your mouth. When you open your mouth wide, compared to shut, it stretches the vocal chords differently and that effects how they resonate with the air flowing over them.
