  • Does anyone have this exhaust set up, or know how it might sound?

I plan to put 2.5" piping all the way around, leading into a Spintech muffler with dual 2.5" outlets, leading into dual/dual..(two on each side) exhaust tips (maybe with resonators? i dunno)

Anyone have ideas? I know this is always being talked about but I just want to get opinions before I cash in the check ;) .

I don't know how it will sound, but i do know that resonators will make it ricey.

I thought resonators were supposed to tone the volume and make it less ricey?

resonators make a ricer sound like our stock v6's. resonators on ours will make ours sound more like v8's. just get a resonator put in your I-pipe and have no muffler, just a y-pipe leading to yuor tips.

Just get a 2.5 I pipe and go to the local exhaust shop and ask for a "stock style"dual out muffler with 2.5 pipes out... I put dual/dual 3" hooker tips. Total cost $125 installed. Sounds great, not ricey not raspy not extremely loud, low and mellow, but louder than stock... plus if you go to the right place like i did they have 30,000 mile warrantys. Just my .02 I tried the flowmaster and heard others, Nothing sounds like a v8... It might sound likea v8 at idle, but once you get above 3K it sounds like a 6, or even a 4 if its that bad. I dont have any sounds of mine yet, but after this weekend I should of any are interested. But its up to you, never heard of a spintech, so i dunno maybe thats the one.

get a 3" I-pipe, these cars need the bigger exhaust so it will pull to redline, also the 3" sounds better too!!!!!!...but if you still want 2.5", put a cut-out, it will be quicker, i promise!
