  • damn intake ducting...

this is really starting to piss me off. the ducting for my intake keeps getting holes in it at the seams. i'm not sure what causes this, whether it's the air getting sucked through it or the heat from the engine. either way, the ducting starts to get brittle and then it rips. this happened to me today at the track, right after my first bracket race (i'd done 7 test runs prior to that race). i took it easy on the way home, and then replaced the ducting with a fresh section. anybody have any advice? i need something flexible, able to withstand high heat, and fits over the TB and the outlet of my airlid (the TB is 3" in diameter, i think, the airlid is 3.5" or so).

there's no autozones near me, we have Strauss Auto. they don't sell anything like that. i might check another local store, they usually have some good stuff, maybe they can hook me up.

i was actually thinking about asking them for the ducting that comes with their lid, if they'd sell it to me separately.

                      I bought some this:
                      http://www.partsamerica.com/PartDeta...rtNumber=96070

today at discount. I hooked up a V8 K&N FIPK and I needed this to run to the TB.
                      Shane

If that doesnt come up go to advance autoparts and lookup the part number 96070(motormite air intake hose)
