Negative, I think it beats flowmaster in sound and performance. I'd like someone to prove me wrong.

I like my flow, after about a month it got alot deeper. It sounded ricy to start out with but sounds alot better now.

ive got the flowmaster american thunder catback for v6 fbodies on my car. it comes with a resonator that cancels out the "bumblebee" or "rice" sound at high rpm's. ive had people ask me what was under the hood, said it didnt sound like a 6. its not as sweet a sound as my 95 Z28 had, but it does have a nice deep tone to it.

Casketcrew, I think you should have been a little more patient with the Rumbler. Didn't you take it off within the first week or so of having it? You really have to wait for your CATCO to burn in.

With the Rumbler and the CATCO there were a few days I was wondering if I made the right decision but everyday it just started to sound better and better as the CATCO burned in (there is really nothing on the Rumbler that needs to burn in since it is mostly just straight pipe). Now a couple of months later I love it.

Casketcrew. Instead of switching exhausts again. leave the Magnaflow on there and spend that money on headers. You WILL like it then!!

I've got the Magnaflow and I like the way it sounds. Then again, I had the Pacesetters and cat put on at the same time, so I've never heard it on its own. I'll admit that it does sounds ricy on occcassion, but it seems that we're all doomed to that. On the whole, I'm very pleased with the way it sounds and performs.

</font>[/QUOTE]i got the borla rear section, and it doesnt rasp at all. seriously. no headers, no hi-flo cat, no i-pipe, just the rear section.

                          BUT

all v6 fbodies with exhaust really will never sound great. my car sounds good for a 6, thats about it. i have gotten many compliments on my exhaust sound, but like i said before, sounds more like an exotic car and not a muscle car.

and it doesn't have that loud "hollow" sound that I hear on a lot of flows.

                              rofl.. hawgs..

yeah.. i stil lstand by what i say... i have heard it all except the new rumbler.. however i could only imagine how crappy that sounds on our cars.. honestly if i was doing it all over again i would have put on the headers, and the cutout.. and jsut hooked that up to the stock system..

use the cutout when i need it and then f-it..

                              v6 camaro exhaust = ****ty..

primarly becuase all of our "exhausts" are really ls1 exhausts with smaller piping.. i dont think there is a single company that has designed a kit specificly for the v6's.. why? becuase they dont care.. and they can offer a product to us buy either simply reworking the mounts or in some cases smaller piping.. its ghey..

                              f-exhaust..

No, all v6 exhaust don't sound like crap. The problem is people think they can get their v6 to sound like a v8. Isn't going to happen so quit crying about it. If you want to sound like a V8, buy one.

You can't say all v6 exhausts sound like crap because they don't sound like a v8 and sometimes get a little ricey up top. You have to compare apples to apples, you are trying to compare apples to oranges.

My Rumbler plus 3" CATCO sounds just fine and I am quite happy with it. Why? Because I was under no illusion that it would sound like a V8 when I put it on.

You know what a 6 cylinder sounds like? It sounds like it has 2 more cylinders than a 4 cyl and 2 less than an 8. Surprise, surprise. When I hear a honda with a fart can on it I realize my car sounds about 100 times better than that car and I am happy I have a 6 cylinder. When I hear a Z28 with nice exhaust on it sure I would love my car to sound like that, but I have 6 cylinders not 8 so I don't cry about it and then claim all 6 cyl exhaust systems sound like crap.

Compare my car to a v6 Honda Accord with aftermarket exhaust, mine will sound better any day of the week, now that is comparing apples to apples.
