Yeah i had the rumbler on for like a week. It was just hitting like 3 spots under the car too... not a nice sound... but it was really really loud too. LOL The guys at work loved the loudness and so did Paul... now he just says it sounds like rice i guess cause it isnt as deep.
BTW it would take me ages to burn in my cat... i drive like 45 miles a week max. LOL
Maybe i need to slap on some resonated tips????

No, all v6 exhaust don't sound like crap. The problem is people think they can get their v6 to sound like a v8. Isn't going to happen so quit crying about it. If you want to sound like a V8, buy one.
You can't say all v6 exhausts sound like crap because they don't sound like a v8 and sometimes get a little ricey up top. You have to compare apples to apples, you are trying to compare apples to oranges.
My Rumbler plus 3" CATCO sounds just fine and I am quite happy with it. Why? Because I was under no illusion that it would sound like a V8 when I put it on.
You know what a 6 cylinder sounds like? It sounds like it has 2 more cylinders than a 4 cyl and 2 less than an 8. Surprise, surprise. When I hear a honda with a fart can on it I realize my car sounds about 100 times better than that car and I am happy I have a 6 cylinder. When I hear a Z28 with nice exhaust on it sure I would love my car to sound like that, but I have 6 cylinders not 8 so I don't cry about it and then claim all 6 cyl exhaust systems sound like crap.
Compare my car to a v6 Honda Accord with aftermarket exhaust, mine will sound better any day of the week, now that is comparing apples to apples. </font>
nah.. it still sounds like crap..
some rice boy was picking on the slash tips, but ive never had a negative comment on the sound of my car. Actually, had quite a few good responses.
Flowmaster DOES make an exhaust that is specifically for the v6. it is NOT a v8 exhaust. they have the resonator on the I-pipe to help the tone. It DOES NOT sound like a v8, but I wouldnt say it sounds like complete crap either.

rofl.. i dont even need to listen to the cound clip to know its crap.. I meen come on.. atleast be honest with yourself.. you car soudns like arsh.. so does mine.. so does everyone else on this site..
It sounds great on my car with my 2000 manafolds and no cat.
By the way it takes about 2-300 mi to burn in and sound good. It can be a bit ricy till then.
I love mine now.

Instead of spending any more money on exhausts, tell your friend they don't know sh*t from shoe polish and move on.
Besides, you don't even wanted to get me started on Flowmaster exhausts. I had an 80 series and it was horrible IMO. It sounded good on the outside, but the interior noise was unbearable.
But if you're going to change it anyway, I would definitely recommend Hooker mufflers. I just got mine a couple of months ago, along with Hooker dual/ dual slash tips. Looks good, and sounds even better.

Anybody else here have the z28 exhaust? I have had a total of 6 different exhausts, and I will definitly be sticking with the z28 with headers. It doesn't get ricey till around 5000RPM And lower than that it sounds really nice. Probably too quiet for most people though.

You're kidding right? Lower your compression, just to help your exhaust tone? I don't know what your theory is here, but it kind of lacks. Kill power to sound good, IF it really works like this. LAME. "I don't like my exhaust tone, I think I'll spend hundres of dolars on pistons to kill some power and see if I like it then."
People, they are V6's. Some sound good for what they are, and they ALL get nasty up top. I have heard them all. Want better sound, get an LS1. Sometimes people here need to swallow their pride a bit, and admit that their car is not the best sounding/performing around!

I have never agreed with you more. As much as you and I haven't see eye to eye in the past... this is BY FAR the best comments you've made. :D
v6's do not sound good. ive heard all setups in person, borla with and without headers, B and B, corsa, Flowmaster, Spintech, dynomax, cut out's, Take off Exhausts, they all sound different but they all rasp..
