• Intake is done, what's next?

I got the whisper lid, SLP Ram air (CAI), and stage 2 jet in.

I'm gonna put a catback and high flow cat on next.

I was thinking about this today, am i gonna be running lean? Seems i stepped up the air flow, but everything else is the same.(if this is a stupid question don't kill me)

Should i upgrade the fuel pump or injectors after i get the exhaust done?

Your fuel system should be fine. Sounds like you now have the mod bug. Enjoy!

if i were you, i would now get headers, high flow cat and then cat-back exhaust. intake and exhaust work better as a whole. you can just get cat and cat back, but the air flow is still not gonna be as good as it can be with stock headers.

500+ dollars for headers on the 2000+ fbodies are a waste of money IMO.

Yeah, that's what i thought too. I did a search on here, and that's what everyone was saying. So i'm just ordering the cat and catback tomorrow from summit.

I don't know what i'm gonna do after that. Time to do some more searching. :D

IMO $200 for a CAI is a waste of money... but headers... I don't consider them a waste... they will help your other mods as well. I think they are the first mod you should do.

How about changing all the pipeing to 3 inch and get a 3 inch catco?? Get the 45degree 3 inch s pipe and 3 inch catco and if you want change the y pipe too because the stock one is restrictive.. You have the tubular manifolds so Headers wont be that big of a benifit as they were for me.. They will still be worth the money howerver if you plan on getting a supecharger or nitrous in the future.. And the sound is worth it in my opinion..

I dunno man, I was a disbeliever for the longest time. Everyone swore by SLP's product and I was stubborn and either used a home made version or lingenfelter/ home made set up.

Eventually I weakened and bought the SLP cold air and it blew away all my home made set ups.

As for 3 inch, in my opinion I'd stay with 2.5 inch. I'm making 315 rwhp and 380 rwtq on mostly 2.5 inch

james loves his torque. you'll get more torque and better low-end and mid-range out of a 2.5" cat-back and cat. if you go w/ a 3" cat-back and cat, you'll get great top-end, but lose some low-end and a little mid-range. also, if ur higher up in altitude, I suggest using smaller piping since the air isn't as dense up there. my 3" made a big diff. on my car, even w/ only the couple intake mods I had and the 2.25" stock cat. i went w/ the 3" because of the deeper sound compared to the 2.5" as well as the future flexibility if I go all-out on my motor.

Pure myth... look at the theory part of the exhaust mods in the mod dictionary: http://mods.firebirdv6.com/intakeexhaust.html

The engine only needs a little back pressure...
