Hey James A/F gauge question

I've seen you post several times about when connecting the A/F ratio gauge, to use the purple wire on the PCM. According to the Haynes manual, the purple wire is the the right manifold O2 sensor. Wouldn't it be better to use the pre-cat O2 sensor since your seeing if the whole system is running rich or lean, rather than just one side?

Some of us don't have that luxury. 98+ don't have precat O2 sensors.

The o2 sensor that you would splice into is the one just in front of the cat.
Not the drivers or passenger side
Honestly I did this and over time I developed a low voltage check engine light code due to this splicing.
I would suggest calling summit racing.
Autometer has a o2 sensor install kit
It includes a weld in bung, extra o2 sensor, and wiring. Installing this will not cause any check engine lights due to low voltage
