• MAF and TB issues

I have a 96 Firebird, and I follows directions on how to port and polish my TB. This has caused some major issues with my car. It idles rough, acceleration is way off(seems sluggish). I took it to a repair shop and they definiatly looked down upon porting the TB they said the MAF can handle the air flow. Now I have heard that if I use a MAF sensor from a 99+ 3.8 the car should work fine. Is there any truth to this,or do I bite the bullet and buy a new TB.

I've said it time and time again that porting the TB is a very advanced mod.

Your car will definately run weird if you just start porting things and if you mess wtih that post in the wrong way you will run SEVERERLY lean at WOT..

you definately need a 99+ maf sensor.

I just noticed you posted this in intake/exhaust AND on camaroz28.com's v6 section..

so I'm locking the thread down in here.. you have plenty of exposure. 1 post is plenty on this board, thanks.... if it's in the right section (intake/exhaust) then you will get all the help you need, i hope.
