• Intake vs Induction

I have my Borla on, and I definitly need a CAI to complement it. I am curious as to which style I should go with: The typical intake with the cone filter, or the ram air type that still utilizes the air box. Through all of your travels, which is perferred or would probably give me the better gain. It seems to me the induction style is a bit more expensive, but if it is worth it, thats the one I will go for.

I believe SLP makes both styles for our cars, correct me if I'm wrong on that.

(I apologize if this has already been discussed, I did a search and didnt find anything)
Thanks

Your car is only using the lid/box type setup. Get either the SLP CAI or the FTRA (fast toys ram air) which is a larger version of the CAI. I'm using the FTRA. It'll cost $170 new and around $100 used. Find one used like I did.

Ok thanks for clearing that up for me. I guess that would explain why there is no cone filter style intakes on lmperformance.com. I got the idea because I know for a fact ive seen them on ebay for the 99-02, but I know ebay isn't reliable.
But yea I will keep an eye out for the FTRA, thanks guys!
