Why are my Borla pipes for my muffler 2 1/4? I bought my system a couple of years ago and just assumed when I ordered it that it was at least 2 1/2 if not 3. I need at least 2 1/2 all the way through because I'm going to be running the ATI Supercharger. Or does anybody think that 2 1/2 up to that point will matter? If it does do you think borla will return it? They have a million mile warranty? I've never heard of Borla making 2 1/4. I just had my mechanic slap it on and paid no attention to what size they was. Please any opinions?

Damn that sux, call them up and see what they can do for you. I doubt thy can do much since the sistem hasn't failed in anyway. I guess if you want a 3" you're gonna have to sell your and buy another one or just trade it out. Goodluck man. Mine is 3". I bought the one for V8's and then just have the shop install it. It works fine they did do alot of cutting.
I was disappointed when I took it to the first shop because a good 1 1/2" of funnel down to 2" straight to the cat. But when I bought the Random cat, I made sure it was 3" all the way.
P.S. 3" Borla will sound terrible but once you burn it in for a couple of weeks, the sound gets better.

The ones for the LT1 are pretty much all 3", seems to be standard size of the pipe. Jason runs a Borla on his 3.8 off an LT1 and his car sounds damn good on start up and driving around. So if your loud mouths shaking and your consoles vibrating<br />bald 17 inch ZR1s got you Trans Am skating
