I am getting my CAI installed very soon and I was just wondering what you guys have noticed as far as performance goes. I'm sure it will make my car have better passing power, and pull harder, but I would like to know from people what they have experienced right after the installation of theirs. Thanks guys!

well, i have a 3rd gen v6 but...same deal pretty much.
anyways...i think it helped a little at low end, but at top end is where you reallly feel it. just take it out on the highway afterwards and you'll be amazed at the difference.1992 Camaro RS
Performance: K/N filter and custom CAI
Stereo/Electronics: 10\" Kicker Subwoofers, DEHP-4400 Pioneer Head Unit
Maintenance: New brake lines, New transmission mount
Upcoming: Flowmaster American Thunder Catback, Catco Catalytic Converter

i seemed to have lost some end power after installing the Flowmaster muffler. Probably because off less backpressure. Will this make up for it?1996 Camaro RS Bright Red
3.8L V6 A4 3.42\'s
K&N Filtercharger
Flowmaster 80 Series Muffler
Y87 Performance Package

You wouldn't lose low end power from a flowmaster muffler... backpressure would hardly be changed at all. Its the pipe size that is going to change your backpressure. And even then i have my doubts about it. Anyway,
as far as the intake... biggest thing i noticed was a much better throttle response at all speeds. Good mod.

hmmmmm...my car definitely didn't accelerate as quickly on the low end once my muffler was installed.
