• Magnaflo?

I went to call around local exhaust shops to do some HW on my future 3" catback. After I told the manager what I wanted to do and what car I have he said:

"Flowmasters sell the most on your V6 Camaros, but I think they sound tiny on them. I like the Magnaflos better".

Anyways, has anyone heard these? I wanted a Flowmaster but I've seen the new interest in Spintechs and might be interested there.

    Thanks a lot guys!

Hey thanks Redbird, how does it sound at idle and such? Is it quiet or loud...more like a Dynomax or Flowmaster? I've really never heard a Magnaflow first hand. Thanks again!

I had a magnaflow, and I didn't like it...after about 4 months I switched to flowmaster 80 series and I love the way it sounds. I don't think it sounds like 'rice' up high, it definatley gets higher pitched but I don't think it sounds bad. The magnaflow sounds bad uphigh and reminded me of rice at all rpms. But it is possible that I had a different model of magnaflow, I'm not doggin on magnaflow but I personally didnt think it sounded good at all. Just my two cents/

i think flowmasters sound like crap at high rpms but they sound mean at idle that would be cool if you wanted to show everyone how fast your car can idle?

I dunno but from what I've read, Magnaflow's are designed to increase power and still keep the car quiet. I love my flows, they don't sound ricey at all, and everyone who has heard them agrees with me.

ok, i had magnaflow, and now i have dynomax. Magnaflow sounds nice and good up to like 3500 rpm, after that rice. It is a little quieter than flowmaster but gets ricey just like flows.

My dynomax is even quieter than the magnaflows. NO RICE at all, and will get nice and loud when you stomp it.

oh, and by the way i still have the magnaflow muffler in my garage, i'll sell it to you, it was on my car for only about 3-4 days...
