Ceramic coated headers will help reduce under hood temps resulting in a cooler running engine. It is highly recommended that you go for the coating if going through the trouble to get headers.98 Bright Red Camaro
Too many mods to list....check my website

There's a huge price gap between coated and non-coated headers... are non-coated headers really that harmful for your car?Red 1996 Firebird 5-speed:
-Zexel-Torsen LSD, SLP CAI, B&B TriFlow Exhaust, 1LE Aluminum Driveshaft, 1LE LCA\'s, 160 Degree Thermostat, SLP Manual Fan Switch, B&M Ripper Shifter, 245/50/16 Kuhmo Ecsta Supras and lots of Zaino
White 1990 5.0L Camaro IROC-Z:
-Flowmaster Muffler, NGK\'s/Taylors
-SOLD

I wouldn't think they could be harmful. It will increase your engine temp though...maybe only slightly..but it will still increase. If you are going to spend the money on headers and install....you might as well get ceramic coated headers and install them yourself. The job isn't real complicated and can be done in a weekend for the do it yourselfer. I believe most will tell you that the ceramic coating is especially necessary if you are running a poweradder as the exhaust temps skyrocket.98 Bright Red Camaro
Too many mods to list....check my website
