  • Flowmaster 80 installed today!!!

I just installed my new flowmaster and high flow cat and the car sounds great. I love the new sound and I definately noticed a faster response when I hit it. The sound is a lot deeper at lower rpms (almost sounds like a v8  ) and at higher rpms it has a nice loud sound that is deeper than stock and doesnt sound rice at all. I definately recommend this exhaust.

has anyone ever ran 3 inch pipe from the headers all the way back? no cat or nothing think it would sound good?
speed costs money, question is how fast can you afford to go??

i have headers, and 3" all the way back with my flow but i have a high flow cat and it sounds good. i have heard that removing the cat adds rasp so if you have a problem with it already, i dont recommend doing it

          you installed a Flowmaster 80? i'm sorry....

been there, done that, hated it. i'll stick with my Hooker. It has a nice growl to it with MUCH less interior noise

I like my flow. I'm not going to spend another $150 on a different muffler.

Does the hi flow cat make any difference in sound?

It sounds NOTHING like a V8. I threw my 80 series in the trash 2 months after installing that piece of crap.

yes, a highflow cat effects the sound

yea i noticed a diff when i replaced my cat, ofcourse i went from a clogged cat to a high flow cat

no real performance diff but it was louder if nothing else

if you add headers and put a hi flow cat, flowmasters won't sound that bad

A guy at my work who owns a 3rd Gen Trans AM GTA said you'd never be able to tell my car wasn't a V8 at idle.

I've got a Flowmaster Catback with the 80 series muffler, I like it a lot.

I just installed the flowmaster 80 also, only complaint is the interior noise is very loud. I have to upgrade my stereo set up now. From the outside, it sounds sweet.
