• Anyone have Edelbrock?? plz help

im really pondering whether or not i am going to get an edelbrock cat back or get flowmaster 40's.

-Are the edelbrocks tips pointed down???
-Is there a way i can cut them and put new tips on them?
-Does anyone have pictures of what it looks like on their car?

plz help

I bought an edelbrock muffler for a 3rd gen firebird designed for the 305. I had custom pipes made and bought my own tips from jeg's.

It sounds great with little or no raspiness until above 5,000 rpm's on a neutral rev. Sounds incredible at idle. I highly suggest this setup.

Normal driving and WOT have a very satisfying exhaust note.

The edelbrock comes with turn-downs stock.

Yes either you or an exhaust shop can cut the turndowns and weld new tips on there.

I have pictures with 3" slashed quad tips from fast toys...

I drove with both the Edelbrock AND the 40 series on today. The Flow was all-around loud while the Edelbrocl was smooth and quiet at idle and throaty during acceleration.

I also have an Edelbrock on my 97 and love it. Sounds great at idol and great when you get on it. It may just get a hint on raspieness when you wind the car out but not bad at all and you must remember you do have a V6 so it will not sound exactly like a V8. I think one of the best for the money.
