A friend of mine is coming over here later today so I can take out her air silencer, and do the free whisper lid and ram air mods to her 2001 Firebird today. She wants her car to be louder, and I know the air silencer gives it a deeper tone, but what would it sound like if you drilled a hole in the muffler? I've heard of people doing this before, but I have no clue what it would sound like. Let me know your opinions... ASAP please cuz she should be here soon ;)

Since the stock muffler is not chambered, it'd probably sound like crap... IMHO.
Not to mention the fact it will rust out MUCH sooner. :(Jason McCallister, Founder & Webmaster<br /><a href=\"http://www.wtfba.org\" target=\"_blank\">West Tennessee F-Body Association, Inc.</a><br /><br />2000 Camaro - <a href=\"http://www.wtfba.org/site/view_member.php?ID=68\" target=\"_blank\">Details</a>

Kew, that's what I figured, someone just suggested that earlier though so I thought I'd ask.Kyle M<br />--------------<br /><a href=\"http://grdws6.netfirms.com\" target=\"_blank\">2002 Trans Am WS6</a> (silver, A4) - lid, cutout, stage 3 shift kit, 12 bolt, vig 3200, tranny cooler, bmr sfc/stb, torq thrust ii. <b>12.688 @ 106.47mph -=- 1.756 60\'</b>

If she has W68 or Y87 (the dual out muffler), you could do that wanna be Borla muffler mod.
I can't remember where the instructions for this are. Looked at installuniversity, and it's not there...
