When I am going 50 in OD (it think it's OD). If i give it 1/4 gas it was stay @1500 and sputter like there is no tomorrow...Makes me guess it is wires or plug related. Not cutout (Thanks Tiago)
def. sounds like wires and plugs i ran my cutout open for a while and i had no problemes and noticed a good increase in performance so not sure what the deal is with the poping

Is your cutout installed before or after the cat? How does yours sound at WOT? I'm considering getting one.
after the cat gets a lil raspy above 4k i like it though sounds good gets alot of attention ;)
