depends on the type of ram air you are talkin bout. as far as just having a scoop under the car to pick up cold air and push it into the filter, yea lots of people have done it. do a search for ram air. if you are talking like a scoop on the hood..well...unless you get an aftermarket hood, thats kinda difficult to do.

Check my links below. My personal page shows the hood with scoop and the in the V6 section of the AMMPerformance link, you will see my underhood area with air filter.

so the slp 93-95 v6 ram air set-up will fit a 3.4? hmmmm.... i've always wanted to make my hood functional, but didn't think the gains would be worth it to switch from my moroso to ram air.

I saw an easy way to do it on Thunderracing a while back but they took it off :-(

Don't worry about ram air, just worry about cold air induction...that is where the power is going to come from. "ram air" at 100 mph is going to net you about 0.3 psi, and that isn't including the preeure drop across the air filter and all the bends and turns...it is all a sales pitch. Do yourself a favor and design a smooth intake system with very few bends and contractions, hell insulate it if you want, and just suck the air from outside the car somewhere.

Wow, this question has made me speechless. 93-95 WAS the 3.4.

obviously 93-95 was a 3.4 (my car is a 94) but i've NEVER seen a ram air setup for a 3.4. i thought slp only fit the 3.8. my slp catalog says that its only for a 3.8 and suncoast told me they also didn't have a kit for my car when i bought my hood 2 years ago.

the point is I want a Ram Air hood. I have a cold air intake and I think with the Ultra Z hood and Ultra Z intake set up it gets cold air in as opposed to the new SS's wich are getting some pretty warm air

My intake setup on my 3.4L V6 is straight from the airbox to the LT1 TB. With the Ultra Z setup, you will not have any bends on the intake path.

hey, why do you want it? for the look or the horse power...you are going to gain like 5Horse 8 if you did a realy good job.
the look is another story...if you want the look then go for it..but you said functional..so i would thing hp...not worth the money for the hp...plus you will have to make it your self, and take into concideration rain.

well, let's put it this way...I want it to be ram air through the hood and not loose HP from switching to that from my FIPK...and how would I make it myself?? hehe this is why I asked for pics of people's set up who have done it before
