  • SLP CAI owners...

Just wondering how often you guys clean the filters on your CAI...I've had mine for a couple months and haven't cleaned them yet.

Oh yeah, seems like crawling under and removing the splash guard is too hard/too long. I was thinking of just removing the metal tube from the rubber elbow, remove the block off plate...clean the filters then put the block off plate onto the metal tube so when I lower the tube in, I can just snap the plate into place.

    Clean every 3 months.
when a K&N is freshley cleaned with oil, it restricts air flow. once it has some stucff in there (3weeksish) it is at best performance.
if you are a heavy drive (150km) a day clean every 2 months

K&N's site says every 30-50k depending on driving conditions, but to check them once a year.

you can not take the filters out from the top if thats what youre saying... they wont fit up through the metal holes.
