which do you guys think is better, having a custom lid with no fins or baffles and raised 1/4 inch or having a Cold air intake? Also, i have seen some peoples post where in the sig they say they have like a whisper lid and also a slp CAI, is this possible, i thought you either have one or the other, if i am wrong can someone explain? thanks

SLP CAI, and the lid are two different things. You can buy a whiper lid for baout 130 or do it custom, also you can buy the SLP CAI for about 130, or you can do the free ram/cold air. To learn how to do the free ram air go to www.installuniversity.com

Good luck

Not saying i dont beleive you, but when looking for a slp CAI, it is two pipes running from your TB to two air cone air filters. A whisper or custom lid is just a lid to take the place of your factory air filter lid.
I have the FRA mod, which works in conjunction with your lid. Am i still missing something?

Ok, the SLP CAI you are looking at is for 97 and older cars. Your car is a 98, so doesnt count-is different setup.

ok i went to SLP and saw what they call the 98+ CAI, it is basically the same as the FRA mod if you ask my opinion. Sorry Crazy you were correct and i was wrong, i basically have the CAI and whisper lid, except i made both of mine and saved alot of cash.

You are correct. The 98+ version of the SLP CAI is actually the ramair kit. Whisper and Fasttoys also makes the ramair kit.
