• B&B or Dynomax Turbo catback??

Has anyone heard both in person?
Of course you could save money with the Dynomax (only 149 for the catback) and I don't need the stainless, but I'd rather get which ever sounds better (I know that subjective, though).
DO they sound similiar, does the dynomax also have that growl that B&B does? Which has a deeper tone?

Good thing about B&B is I could put that on myself, but for the price I could buy a few extra mods and will have to wait another month.

*tries to throw away the anchor, hoping that this thread will not sink to the bottom lol j/k*

If you don't care about wasting 600 bucks get the B&B. Otherwise go with dynomax.

THANKS, guys.

Dynomax it is then...I'll order the one for the '97, don't see one for my year. Just the hangers will be different, a shop should be able to put that on though.

Well, i would have to say B&B. I have a dynomax super turbo muffler on my 97 and it sounded good. But the b&b sound is just so nice imo. Trial and error...

Actually i think he has the Z28 pipe; and a 3" s pipe, I want everything to come in a kit. http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jht...=64185&BQ=jcw2 .
I'm assuming the one for 93-97 V6 is 2 1/2"
And the one for V8 is 3" ?
Originally I wanted something my Dad and i could just bolt one (main reason i wanted either B&B or the AT), but will any shop be able to put either Dynomax on without much trouble??

As far as the catalyic con. goes My dad was wondering if he could take it off himself and replace (hasn't really looked at it, yet though) or should I just hope a shop will do it willingly? (or do i have to hold hostages there ;) )?

I could order it all right now, just double checking.

I am aware the that catback system from JCWhitney. I know it's a great deal but I don't think that's a dynomax system. I heard it's made by pacesetter, but i'm not sure.

Thanks for bringing that up,shortdog273. I just realized it doesn't mention "Dynomax", I got the link from cz28.com. .

I knew the dynomax wasn't being produced anymore...but hey, people said Elvis is dead and yet people still him at the mall sometimes ;) ;)

According to this http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...&f=25&t=000454 and a few other discussions it doesn't seem like its the same system. Don't remember hearing too many good things about pacesetter catback.

Actually, Dynomax still sells catbacks. Summit and Jegs has them for around $300. But, that system from JCWhitney is one hell of a deal.

dynomax is the worst quality parts ever made, every set of headers and exhaust i ever seen are just poor quality, you get what you pay for imo

 Opinions vary. What's so bad about em? They're aluminum like alot of the other systems out there.

Well, I talked to someone who got that JCWhitney catback for 150 for their 3.4 camaro and said that it was a PACESETTER catback. How did they know, it was a pacesetter box and such labels on the parts...just fyi

I have the dynomax super turbo and i LOVE it. Never heard better, not raspy, and not to loud but u know when i'm coming. The cat will have to be done at a shop unless u can weld. The stock cat is part of the y-pipe. It's all one big piece. Let me know how much a shop charges you to put one in if you do though, i'm interested in changing mine. 100 for the cat isn't bad.
