so your hoping that gears, posi and an open cutout is going to drop you more than a full second in the 14's? i wish my car would respond to mods that well

Its going to run worse times unless you get your PCM programmed for the 3.42 gears. The shift points will be fubar. If anything, get a speedometer correction box if you can't find a place to re-do the PCM for the gear change...or find a Y87 PCM from another 99 A4 and swap it in. After the 3.42 gears + rumbler, i say you run 15.7's

I pull better 60 foots than a guy in my local car club with an 01 A4 V6 Camaro and he has a Y87 package plus more bolt ons than me. He also had the Nitto 245/50/16 DR's, I have the BFG 255/50/16 DR's. I know I may get flamed for this, but if you can't get the launch down, better gearing isn't going to help but maybe .1-.2 I ran my 2.07 and 2.1 60 foots with a 3.08 OPEN rear, plus 2800-3000 stall range converter.

Did you ever get that e-mail i sent you a while back when you asked me how I ran my times?
