I wonder if you guys have good idea´s what i should do to get a sweet sound on my 93 bird? I am planning to put a 2,5" pipe. What muffler, tip and so on should i get??

well without sounding harsh.... just do a simple search for exhaust and you will find a handful of opinions and information etc. As for me, i just got a dynomax super turbo muffler and love it. Just do a search.

Hey man you dont have to do a search theres plenty out there wanting to put some input into topics like this. I would personally go with a good set of headers, a high flow cat, and a 50 or a 80 series flowmaster. Tips just go with what you like and dont let people put you down for what you like for your car. :D

This topic is covered so often that there is no shortage of backlogged threads you can find. Just do a quick search (link at the top right corner of this page) and you can come up with more hits than you can shake a stick at, some over 20 posts long.

The topic is very debated anyway, and whatever you find is likely to have conflicting opinions.

But to summarize the answer to your muffler question very briefly:
-There are many people who like either the Flowmaster 80 or the Dynomax SuperTurbo best. (There's always conflict between these two.)
-There's the group of people who like Spintech mufflers. (They seem to be semi-compatible with the Dynomax fans.)
-Then there's the cult ;) who like the $500+ Borla or B&B Triflow systems the best. (Again, there are always people who will tell you that one of these sounds better than the other. Often it comes down to personal taste here.)
-There's the small group of Edelbrock muffler fans. (They don't really have anyone to be at war with. )
-And then there's the very small pro-Magnaflow group. (Again, they seem to mostly be ignored... )

And then there are those with cutouts.

mike24 on this board just had one installed, and sounds VERY VERY good. Loud, throaty, not ricey at all. I have one on my 95 LT1 T/A and his sounds like mine. Under load is slightly higher pitched, but doesn't sound ricey at all. We'll be testing it for any performance increases this weekend. My thoughts....get one.

After hearing one on a camaro rs last week, I'm seriously thinking about getting one.
