98+ flowmaster catback fit 96?

when i look at which flowmaster catback i want, i see the one for just the 95-97 then i see it for the 98-02, the pipe diam. on the 95-97 is 2.25, whereas the diam on the 98+ is 2.5, just checkin if the 98+ will fit up right to my 96.

I think the exhaust hangers are different which is why it isn't a direct fit...but with a little modification it should fit.

Correct, will need to replace your hangers with the 98+ style.

sounds good, where can i get some 98+ hangers, and how many will i need? will an exhaust shop be able to fab that or will i have to buy some before i get the install done?

the 96 system is also a 2.5 inch. its the same one i got for my 96. jegs says its a 2.25 but i called flowmaster and they told me the 95-97 is also a 2.5 inch. when i got it in i checked it and sure enough its a 2.5
