I'm sick of my flowmaster 80s and want to upgrade. I want a very loud but not ricey exhaust. The ultra flo has better flow, I guess that is why it is called ultra, anyway, would that still have that ricey sound because of the air flow? I might have to get a Z28 to get the sound I want, oh well, any info would be great, thanks.

In my opinion the loudmouth is too loud! Unless you like running your car with a cut out open all the time I would not recomend this setup. I recently traded my loudmouth for a ws6 exhaust. I drove my car around with only a cat for two days. The sound was the same as the loudmouth except that it was exiting under the car instead of behind it. If you want loud up grade to 2.75 or 3" piping with a freer muffler and just get a cut out. Well, flowmaster is loud but it has the ricey tone to it, a kind of hum and I'm worried that if I get another loud muffler I will run into the same problem.
I have also heard that the super turbo is not as loud, but it sounds better than the flowmaster throughout the rpm range.
However the super turbo is 410 cfm and the ultra flo is 1133 cfm. So the performance is better, but by how much? Some have talked about Edelbrock system.

Edelbrock OWNESZ i have 3 inch catci into 3 inch s pipe into 3 inch i pipe into the edelbrock muffler out 2 -2.5 inch with 3 inch slash cut chrome tips and i [img]graemlins/love.gif[/img] how my car sounds and it will sound even better as soon as Pacesetter finishes those headers !! [img]graemlins/fluffy.gif[/img]AIS 2 OHH the memories... Great times and putting names with faces.<p>From \"interesting\" hooters waitress(Did you guys FLY ? ) to pissing BMW owners off on the ride home. To ending up in Philidelphia and USING (hahaha) an ice machine. I had a BLAST.<p>Thanxs to all that showed up!!

Do they make a dynomax catback or Edelbrock for my 3.8 '98 system? I haven't seen any.
And the ONLY reason I'm asking is because I thought they didn't make a Magnaflow for my year car/engine, and yet the other day I happened upon one on a website for LS1.
