ok a few questions
1. i just bought B&B Triflow exhaust system what tools do i need to install this?
2. new cat? recommended?
3. anything i should do to it to prolong the life of the system?
4. i should have asked this b4 but does it sound good?
Personally, I'd take the exhaust to a muffler shop and get them to install it rather then do it yourself. No offense, but if you don't even know what tools you need, then you shouldn't be doing it yourself. You'd need some kind of tool to undo the clamps on your old exhaust, or possibly cut it off, and then you'll need either new clamps, or a welding machine. But, ya, take it to a place like Meineke or something like that. They outta install it for anywhere between $40 to $80 depending on what they might have to do special for your exhaust. Sure, if it does cost $80, that's a lot, but trust me it's well worth it to avoid the hassle and whatever you might screw up.
As for a new cat, basically, any hi-flow cat from basically any performance part store on the net will do just fine. They're all basically the same.
And as for prolonging the life of the system... you need not worry about that. It'll last you as long as you own the car unless you bottom your car out of drive over any big rocks or something like that.
Lastly, I've never actually heard a B&B system on a V6 (well, I may have heard it before, just didn't know what kind it was), so I have no idea. I've heard that it sounds good though. I know it kicks on a V8, I have heard that.
